Come relax in this cozy first floor apartment in our beautiful colonial house in the middle of historical Stone Ridge, NY. It offers the perfect mixture of rustic and modern styles, and it is decorated with original pieces of art. It has a fireplace stove and a wood fired sauna in the backyard for you to enjoy. Full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a great meal. It is perfect for all seasons and located within walking distance to great restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios and groceries. New Paltz, Woodstock, Minnewaska, Mohonk Preserves, Shawangunk Ridge and SUNY are all within the short 20 min drive.
A lot of small details were thought out for guests to be comfortable, cook meals and enjoy the place. We are serious about cleanliness and service, ready to go the extra step to make sure guests enjoy their stay, and keep improving the place all the time.
Entry is through the porch via the door with the keyless lock.
Cleaning:
We clean responsibly using Lysol antibacterial products!
Things to do around the area:
There is PLENTY! Biking, hiking, swimming, rock-climbing, skydiving, paragliding, wine tasting, restaurants, art centers, organic farms, harvest (apples, blueberries, peach, raspberry etc.) picking, caving, stargazing and much more. Please check our guestbook for more information.
Water quality note:
We live in the Gunks, and water is well known to be hard in our region. It is full of minerals including sulfur, so it is normal to notice some smell at times. I do have water treatment systems installed. First stage is a large particle water filter which I usually change every 2-3 weeks. Second stage is a Clack water with filter medium that handles hard water. The second stage was serviced in fall 2019 by professional water treatment service. Additionally kitchen sinks are equipped with faucet filters (changed monthly) making the water suitable for drinking.
Other guests:
Please take note that if you rent lower apartment, there might be guests on the second floor and you will most probably hear them as it is an old colonial house and insulation is not to the modern standards
.
Local shopping:
There are a number groceries within walking distance from the house:
First recommendation is Emmanuel's Market Place. It is about 10-15 min away on Main street going right from the house.
Davenport Farms is on Main street 15 minutes away going right from the house.
Finally, you can use Corner Store at Mobile gas station for basic necessities. It is also on Main street and only 3-5 minutes going left. It is open 24/7.
